Jim has been a Partner with TrueTandem since its inception in 2004. Prior to this he was Vice President of InScope’s Microsoft Consulting Group (MCG). At InScope, Jim was responsible for bringing innovative Microsoft Solutions to federal agencies and commercial clients across the country. Jim joined InScope from Microsoft Corporation, where he was a Lead Services Manager for the Microsoft Civilian Practice. Prior to this role, he held several positions at Microsoft including East Region State and Local Government (SLG) Director, National e-Gov Solutions Manager and SLG Account Manager.
Throughout his career at Microsoft, he led several government projects, including portal solutions and strategic vertical solutions to help states and other units of government achieve their technology objectives. He assisted federal agencies by coordinating government-wide initiatives together with Microsoft’s technical and sales professionals, ensuring an end result of a fully developed Microsoft Enterprise Business Value integration. Prior to his tenure at Microsoft, Jim was Vice President of Civilian Government and Commercial Accounts at API/Wang Global. Earlier, he was Vice President of Business Development at Opnet Systems Inc., a software development consulting firm.
Jim holds a B.A. in Political Science and Music from The American University.
Steve is a Partner at TrueTandem and brings over 20 years of business development, sales training, management, and channel development experience. Previously, Steve Co-Founded InScope Solutions and was charged with leading the key practice areas across the business. In this role, he was responsible for the establishment of both annual and monthly sales objectives to meet InScope’s business plan. He also coordinated the specific objectives of the sales plan with all of the functional departments of the company.
Steve began his career with Verizon in Sales. During his six-year career with the organization, he was quickly promoted to Sales Trainer and then to District Sales Manager with responsibility for multiple regions. In 1998, Steve joined Exodus Communications (now Savvis Communications) and directed the sales force in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions. During his tenure he oversaw tremendous revenue and customer growth while gaining experience in building sales teams that closed large-scale, solution-oriented deals.
Steve holds a B.A. degree from the College of William and Mary.

David has extensive experience selling, marketing and delivering information technology solutions to the US Public Sector marketplace. He has been a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and MBA since 2001, as well as a Microsoft Certified Professional since 1997.
Prior to joining TrueTandem, David started his professional career with the Digital Equipment Corporation's US Federal Government sales organization, and witnessed DEC's merger with Compaq Computer Corporation, and later, Hewlett-Packard Company. During his eight-plus years with DEC/Compaq/HP, David successfully took on a variety of challenging roles within the Federal Sales & Marketing organization which included Principle Pre-Sales Technical Support Consultant, Solutions Architect, Specialty Sales Professional, Program Capture Manager, Program Implementation Manager, as well as Federal Partner / Marketing Lead for several targeted marketing campaigns to various high profile Federal Agencies. Upon leaving HP, David joined the Microsoft US Public Sector team.
During his five-plus years with Microsoft, David spent several years in Microsoft's Federal Civilian Services organization as an Engagement Manager, and later, as an Enterprise Services Sales Executive for accounts such as the US Department of Agriculture, US Department of Education, US Postal Service, HUD and EPA. While in Microsoft Services, David consistently led and managed one of the largest and top performing Microsoft Consulting and Premier Support Services businesses within Microsoft's Civilian Services organization. David later joined Microsoft's Enterprise Products Group (EPG) as the Account Executive to very high profile agencies such as the Executive Office of the President, the United States Congress / Capitol Hill, and the US Department of State. In his final year with Microsoft, David was awarded the Microsoft Federal VP's Gold Star Award.
David has a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Physics from Morgan State University and an MBA from the University of Maryland University College.

Pete has over 25 years of software development experience at ever-increasing levels of complexity. He has led the growth of TrueTandem’s Dynamics practice with his comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft development tools, including Dynamics CRM, SharePoint, BizTalk as well as Windows Server and Active Directory. His client list includes many members of the Washington, DC, metro area companies, NGOs and nonprofits. He is regularly sought out to deliver presentations to industry meetings on the business value of Dynamics CRM. He has demonstrated a deep technical understanding by passing numerous Microsoft Technical exams on Dynamics CRM, SQL Server, Visual Studio and Microsoft Server Networking. This diverse mix of technical skills allows Pete to have a “big picture” perspective on how the various pieces of technology fit together to support clients’ stated business goals. He is the architect of each of the TrueTandem grants solutions for clients and, as such, has a deep industry understanding of how to successfully deploy Dynamics CRM in the complex world of grants.
Previously, Pete spent seven years at the Washington, DC, office of Microsoft where he worked with numerous clients in roles that included Principal Account Technical Specialist and Chief Security Officer for State and Local Government.
Pete holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland and is a patent holder in the technology field.
Sophy has a robust contracts, business and program management background with demonstrated domain expertise driving efficiencies across numerous work streams throughout the contracts, program and project lifecycle. She is a natural leader with over 17 years of management, acquisition, finance and strategy consulting experience. In her current role, she is responsible for managing the company’s contracts and program functions as well as collaborating closely with other TrueTandem management members on contracting compliance, cost management programs, strategic planning, annual analyses and employee engagements. She ensures efficient, effective and complaint performance during the entire project and contract lifecycle including interpretations of contractual requirements, risk mitigation and management, change management and conflict resolution for TrueTandem.
Previously, Sophy was a Senior Program Manager at Government Contract Solutions, Inc., where she had oversight in large federal programs that were funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Prior to that, she performed senior program and contracts management duties for eNTEGRITI, Inc. Sophy also spent five years at Riggs Bank, NA, International Division, Asia Pacific Region, where she built International Business relationships and maintained all projects and accounts within the parameters of all banking and financial compliances for over 28 Embassies and Foreign Missions in the Asia Pacific region.
Sophy holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. She is also PMP certified.

As Controller at TrueTandem, Rick oversees all aspects of the company’s day-to-day accounting and financial needs. In addition he serves as the Company’s representative in all banking, insurance and facility needs. Prior to joining TrueTandem, Rick spent eight years as the Accounting Director at an international development company. He played an instrumental role in transitioning the company into a publicly traded company upon being acquired. Rick started his career spending ten years in public accounting specializing in audits of small to mid-sized government contractors.
He is a 1993 graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology and received his CPA certificate from the state of Maryland.
